We have been visiting Funchal and staying at the Santa Maria for 10 years.It's a beautiful hotel in an excellent location and all the staff are superb.We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday there and willreturn in 2016

I have spent many enjoyable holidays here, most of them over Christmas and New Year, happily we will be here again for New Year. I would always book just b&b here: there are so many good cafes,bars and restaurants within a 10 minute stroll.

Just spent an enjoyable week at Porto Santa Maria. The only 2 things i could find fault with was lack of entertainment & not enough food choice on an evening. Everything else 10 out of 10
